I just got into a discussion with one of my co-workers about Wheels and tires and how much they weigh and why it is better to have a lighter wheels..etc....
Well Mr Smartass wants to know how much Air weighs now?
At first I am think it does not weigh anything, but then I started thinking about PSI and all that....Does Air actually weigh anything in the Tires?

Idea

0.0807 Pounds per cubic foot, approximately.

You might want to ask Scoop about the benefits of using helium in your tires  Wink

Jack ... may I offer a slight correction?  You found the value at standard temperature and pressure (atmospheric).  At 35 psig you have more air in the same volume, so it's closer to 0.25 pounds per cubic foot - all the more reason to go with helium, not to mention that "uplifting" feeling!  LOL

Bruce - I missed the "in the tires" in the original question.  Thanks for the corrected value.  Now, if someone wants to calculate the internal volume of the tire in question we could provida a really accurate answer in actual pounds.

Probably easier to weigh the tire full and empty.  That's tempting, but there's a good hockey game on the tube!
