OK, I think I finally found a wheel I like for my 07 MCS. They are the Montegi Traklite 2, only weigh 14.5 lbs., have a +42 offset with 6 1/8 backside. The problem is they are only available in 17X8 not 17X7. Could I still run 205/45/17 or since it's 8" wide would I be better off running 225/40/17. Section width on this size of tire would be approaching 9". Car is at stock height but I'm considering lowering with H&R or Eibachs but will I have enough space for this size of wheel/tire combo? I don't want rubbing issues and I don't want spacers. Anyone have ideas or suggestions?

Might want to check with the boyz on NAM for that. (I run 17X7 Traklite's with 215/40X17's for summer and it's a great combination.)

Thanks kenru. Posted ? on NAM and called Montegi. They stated they will fit at current ride height but not with the car lowered. Back to square one. |

17x7 on 215/40R17 Traklites work fine on a lowered mini. You do get a little rub on the inside when pullinng into parking spots but not durring normal driving. I've had mine for about 2yrs now with no issues.
